Translators' note: In ancient China, during the Three Kingdoms Period, there were three major powers: Wei, Shu, and Wu. Liu Bei, the king of Shu, wanted to unite the three kingdoms to build a strong and unified country. But his ambitions were often thwarted by Sun Quan, king of Wu.

Sun Quan's adviser Zhou Yu suggested that they form an alliance with Liu Bei to defeat Wei. In order to establish this alliance, Zhou Yu handpicked Zhuge Liang, a highly respected scholar and strategist, to go to Liu Bei's camp.

After much persuasion and consideration, Zhuge Liang agreed to join Liu Bei's team. The two men quickly formed a deep bond, and Zhuge Liang became Liu Bei's most trusted advisor and strategist.

\"For years I've been groping my way, until I met you, my dear Kongming (Zhuge Liang's courtesy name). You came to me like an angel from on high, and I knew at once that you were the one who could help me realize my dream.\"

\"You've served me loyally and advised me wisely. You've helped me through the most difficult times and turned disaster into victory. Together we've fought side by side, sharing our joys and sorrows, our glory and shame.\"

\"Today, as we part, I feel as if a part of me is gone. I can never forget the years we've spent together, nor the wisdom and inspiration you've given me.\"

\"Today, as we part, I have no regrets. I've done all that I could do, and I've learned all that I could learn. I know that you'll continue to lead our people to a bright future, and I'll always be proud to call you my lord.\"

During the tumultuous Three Kingdoms Period in ancient China, Liu Bei, the king of Shu, attempted to unite the three kingdoms to create a strong and unified nation. Sun Quan, king of Wu, was often a roadblock to Liu Bei's ambitions.

However, after Zhou Yu, Sun Quan's advisor, suggested forming an alliance with Liu Bei and personally selecting Zhuge Liang, a well-respected scholar and strategist, to go to Liu Bei's camp, the alliance was formed.

Zhuge Liang quickly became Liu Bei's most trusted advisor and strategist, cementing the alliance between Shu and Wu.
